The Mill Field at Charlbury, a watermeadow alongside the River Evenlode, is the idyllic setting each year for the Charlbury Riverside festival. The large site accommodates three stages, numerous stalls, foo and beer tents, and a children's play area. Visitors should note that you cannot bring bottles and cans onto the site. There is no on-site camping but nearby campsites are available.

Location and Transport

The Mill Field
Dyers Hill

Riverside is easy to get to by both train and bus. The train journey from Oxford to Charlbury station takes about 15 minutes, and the entrance to Riverside, at the bottom of Mill Lane, is just a few minutes walk away. On leaving the station, turn right, walk across the bridge, and Mill Lane is on the left. Various buses run to Charlbury town centre which is also in easy walking distance. There is no public car parking at the site.

Charlbury rail station has a fully ramped footbridge and the Riverside site is an open field so accessibilty should not be a problem, but as with all open-air festivals, heavy rain can make footing muddy and treachorous.
