Appletree Studios, Aylesbury

Established for over a quarter of a century, Appletree Studios is situated on the borders of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The recording studio offers 72 track digital and 16 track analogue recording, and free use of synths, guitars, drums and amps.

Clearwater Recording, Oxford

Clearwater Recording specialises in recording bands and musicians in a live setting, with or without an audience. The studio is located in a rural setting on the outskirts of Oxford, and has off-road parking for up to five vehicles. Offers an introductory rate for new recording artists.

Courtyard is a residential studio out in the wilds of Oxfordshire, geared up for both analogue and digital recording. The resident in-house producer is Ian Davenport.

In-Spire Sounds, Oxford

In-Spire Sounds, run by King Boyden of Inner Peace Records, is a recording studio, specialising in mixing, vocal recording, and instrumental production. it has off-street parking and prices from as little as £15 per hour. the studio does a lot of charitable work, working with young people with a range of issues from mental health to physical disabilities, and provides mentoring and coaching for young aspiring artists.

Neume Audio is a mobile recording service which brings the studio to your rehearsal space or concert hall to record your performance or demo without the need to book expensive studio time.


Safehouse, Oxford

Safehouse Studio is a recording and rehearsal facility in central Oxford, just off St Clements. The studio includes a full backline so bands only need bring their instruments.


Shonk Studios, Oxford

Located in east Oxford, Shonk Recording Studios was established in 1999 by John Halliday, a very experienced session musician and for many years the drummer and founder member of Oxford band The Candyskins. In addition to its artist and band recording services, Shonk also offers multimedia services.

Upcycled Sounds Recording Studio, Oxford

Upcycled Sounds is an independent audio production company, gig promoter and record label based in Oxford for several years. They have run various studios including a pop-up recording studio, venue and exhibition space with Fusion Arts in Temple Cowley. They have numerous albums, EPs, live sessions and soundtracks under their belt as well as sound recording and designing for feature film, theatre and documentaries. They've worked for the BBC, Pinewood Studios and Lucas Studios and have partnerships with DPA, Sennheiser, RME and Bubblebee Industries. The current production team are Nicholas O'Brien and Hannah Jacobs.
